Confined Space Training
Technical Rescue International’s provision of training for working in confined spaces has been developed from the longstanding experience gained by TRI Instructors. The confined space programme is progressive and includes courses for most confined space sectors. The Instructors that deliver the courses are all extremely experienced in a number of confined space Sectors and have been delivering training for many years. All Instructors are current/operational in their specific sector of work.
Our confined space training programme is divided into 5 modules.
Confined Space Programme Modules 1-3
Confined Space Programme Modules 4-5
Confined Space Awareness
This course is aimed at industrial and emergency services personnel/managers who may not be required to work as operators but require an awareness of confined space regulations and working. The course leads delegates through all relevant legislation, definitions, hazards, levels of operator and standards along with training implications and resources required to deal with confined space work.
-
The aim of this course is to provide the skills, knowledge and understanding to enable delegates to become aware of confined space operations.
-
Successful completion of the course will enable delegates to fulfil the following outcomes according to current legislation, regulations and recognised standards;
Describe the standards of confined space training available (C & G/Water) and classifications
State the definition and the types of environments that may constitute a confined space
List the hazards that are associated with confined spaces and how they may be managed
Aware of the Confined Space Regulations 1997
Describe the types of Personal Protective Equipment that may be required for work in confined spaces
Describe the types of equipment that may be required for work in confined spaces
Aware of examples of gases likely to be found in confined spaces along with their properties and effects
Describe confined space systems of work, sequence of activities and use of permits to work
Describe the emergency procedures required to be in place for confined space working.
